Every Athletic Archive set is prepared by hand and packed to arrive safely, cleanly, and ready to be gifted or displayed.

Our current packaging uses rigid kraft presentation boxes — chosen for their durability, minimalism, and ability to protect natural slate in transit. As with the archive itself, we prioritise function, longevity, and restraint over excess.

Packaging

Each order includes:

  • A rigid kraft presentation box

  • Individually wrapped slate coasters

  • Protective internal packing to prevent movement during shipping

Our packaging is intentionally understated — allowing the product and the moment it represents to take centre stage.

As we release new collections and formats, packaging may evolve. What won’t change is our commitment to safe delivery and considered presentation.

Caring for Natural Slate

Slate is a natural material, chosen for its weight, texture, and permanence. Subtle variations in colour and edge are part of its character — no two sets are identical.

To keep your coasters in their best condition:

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth

  • Dry immediately after cleaning

  • Avoid dishwashers or soaking

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners

Each coaster includes soft feet to protect surfaces and prevent slipping.

Everyday Use

These pieces are designed to be used, not stored away.

They’re suited for:

  • Hot and cold drinks

  • Daily use on tables, desks, and shelves

  • Display as functional objects

With normal care, the etching will remain crisp and unchanged over time.

Storage

If storing your set between uses:

  • Keep coasters dry

  • Store flat inside their box or a lined drawer

  • Avoid stacking with heavy objects on top

A note on longevity

Our designs are etched directly into the slate itself — not printed, coated, or applied. This means the artwork won’t fade, peel, or wear away with use.
