Are the coasters officially licensed?
No.
The Athletic Archive is an independent studio. Our products are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any team, league, or player.
Each design is an original archival-style interpretation of historic moments, created for fans who appreciate design, storytelling, and sport history.
What are the coasters made from?
Our coasters are crafted from natural slate stone.
Because slate is a natural material:
Each piece has slight variations in texture and edge
No two sets are exactly the same
This is intentional and part of the character of the product.
How big are the coasters?
- Size: 10cm × 10cm
- Thickness: Approximately 5mm
- Weight: ~150g per coaster
Each coaster includes soft protective feet to prevent scratching surfaces.
How are the designs applied?
The designs are laser-etched directly into the slate, not printed or applied on top.
This means:
- The artwork will never fade or peel
- The surface remains tactile and permanent
- Each piece is made to last for years
Are these meant to be used or displayed?
Both.
They’re fully functional as coasters, but many customers also display them as:

What if my order arrives damaged?
While rare, damage can happen in transit.
If it does:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Include your order number and clear photos
We'll organise a replacement or refund promptly.
Can I return my order?
Yes.
Unused items may be returned within 14 days of delivery.
Items must be in original condition and packaging.
